Promoting Golf on the Downs!
The Darling Downs Golf Association is responsible for the promotion of golf within the region. This includes organising various zone championship events and conducting an annual Club Pennants competition.
The DDGA currently represents 19 affiliated clubs with approximately 3,700 members.

A Brief History…
The DDGA was Formed in 1929…
The Darling Downs and South West Queensland Golf Association was formed in 1929 to organise and promote the sport for golfers in the Darling Downs and South West Queensland area. This association continued, apart from a short recess for World War 2 until 1994. In 1994 the South West Queensland Golf Association was formed and clubs in that district were encompassed by the new body, now known as the Darling Downs Golf Association.
From January 1 1994, the Darling Downs Golf Association has been the parent entity for clubs in its region.
